Lake Tahoe is big. Many ski resorts in winter. Some mountain tops are still snow covered. Emerald Bay at the southwest corner of the lake has a 1 mile trail going down to the 1929 fable-looking Vikingsholm (enter with guided tour only). There is a Eagle Falls near by.
