Google Cloud is really trying hard to boost its adoption.
I attended two different events (by two different groups) hosted at Google Cloud at the South Lake Union campus.
11/9 was aiming to enterprise, promoting GKE - a management tool for Kubernetes.
11/10 was targeting data scientists, promoting Bigquery - a data warehouse.
Both have hands-on labs. I wasn't able to try the labs on Wednesday (had Zoom meetings at work).
The Thursday lab has quite a few errors in the instruction (seems software changed, while the lab refers to some older version).
Overall, good learning tools.
At the end of the Bigquery event, we were given a short guided tour of the campus before the Happy Hour. I like this jelly-fish lounge, and the large deck (a bit chilly today) overlooking Lake Union.
Not as many people came as I expected.
