3/30. Tuesday. Artist Rep starts another run of The Price. Excellent acting, except for the lady who's a bit flurtatious (more herself than the character), too many unnecessary jestures. Nice stage, but I didn't get the feeling this is in the 40s or 50s, until quite later after many dialogues. Thought provoking. How come I've never seen this 1968 play until now?
Two mid-aged brothers (who haven't spoken in 13 years) meet in a New York attic trying to sell their parents' furniture to an 89 year old dealer. One sacrificed his scientific interest to care for their depressed (both financially after 1929 crash and emotionally) and manipulative father. One walked away pursuing his own career.
