Festival of Flowers is part of the annual Rose Festival June. I was catching a train at Pioneer Courthouse Square ~8pm Thursday, took this photo on the right.
Designed by the local architecture firm Walker Macy, this year’s "oFISHially GORGEous" installation is comprised of nearly 20,000 flowers, ornamental grasses and Douglas Fir seedlings, elements of the Columbia River Gorge landscape. The aims is to raise awareness for conservation of Oregon’s natural landscapes and the responsibility upon us all to protect these natural assets. The plants are on display June 1 - 12, and will be offered for sale to the public from June 13–15.
