5/15 Tuesday noon, part of NPSO's Native Plant Month events. Tanner Springs Park is downtown, where I can easily walk to. Shame on me that I had never been there.
Slender Ciquefoil is huge here (not in flower yet). Lots of iris and checker-mallow in bloom. Red Twig Dogwood doesn't have the flower-like bracts. Saw the native water-lily, Wapato (not in bloom).
Rick Shory is today's guide. He is an expert on grass. He showed us the different order of the male and female flowers. Not happy when someone mislabeled sedge from rush.
