2/12, Saturday, sunny. Took skytrain to downtown waterfront. Walked around Canada Place. Had lunch at Burrard Landing, under the shadow of "the Drop" - a blue modern sculpture. It was warm in the sun. Quite a lot of people. When we left, dad couldn't find his phone. We looked all around, including the restroom inside Canada Place (he found one of his gloves there). Asked everyone. A boy found it in men's room and handed it to the security.
2/13, Sunday, another beautiful day. More prepared today.
Took SeaBus to North Vancouver. On the SeaBus, you are indoor, no place to stand outside. I'm surprised how frequently the boat runs: every 15 minutes. Very comfortable and fast.
We changed to a bus right at the ferry terminal to Lynn Canyon Park. First, I walked down many steps to the Twin Falls bridge. Then scrambled down to the water level. Too bad, no good viewpoint back at the falls from there. Had to scramble up to the side to take this photo on the left.
Most people are at the suspension bridge. It's also a much shorter walk from the many parking lots. Bigger waterfall. Very pretty. It was chilly in the shade. The park has a lot of trees, so not much sun.
Last, we visited the "nature center" on our way out. Need Covid vaccine proof to enter. It's a one room museum, very nicely laid out. Excellent for kids.
Before catching the Seabus back to Vancouver, we walked about Lonsdale waterfront.
A nice little park to the west of the ferry, and the restaurant and shopping area to the east. A lot of people were dining here.
Clouds were forming later in the day. We got on the Seabus and then skytrain back home. A nice spring-like weekend in Feb.
