2007.3.15. Seattle Symphony:
Asher Fisch, conductor/piano
Chee-Yun, violin
Alisa Weilerstein, cello
  • Beethoven: Egmont Overture
  • Beethoven: Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano, "Triple"
  • William Thomas McKinley: Concerto for Orchestra No. 2
  • Stravinsky: Symphony in three movements

  • The two girls are very young, talented and cooperative. However, Chee-Yun's dress is ugly, and Alisa overdid her expression sometimes. The modern piece by McKinley is very jumpy. Stravinsky is full of discord as always, especially this piece is a rewrite of two abandoned projects. The 2nd movement is quite melodic.
